The Forest Of Dean and Wye Valley AONB, The Forest Of Dean is an ancient woodland. It comprises of 100 square kilometres of mixed woodland including the Wye Valley.
The Cotswold hills are full of wonderful trails from easy circular routes through to walking the Cotswold Way.
The Severn Valley including the Severn Way Walk. The waterways of Gloucestershire include; The River Severn, River Wye, Gloucester To Sharpness Canal, River Avon In Tewkesbury, Stroudwater navigation and even the source of the River Thames at Thames Head near Cirencester.

Daily Self guided walks around Gloucester – Starts from St. Michael’s Tower – The Cross – Gloucester. We have 4 walks available that take you to places in Gloucester that you probably didn’t know were there. Hear gruesome tales of Gloucester and find out about.
Daily Family/Children’s Walk Starts from St. Michael’s Tower – The Cross – Gloucester “This is a heritage quiz trail for children. The walk comprises of an audio unit,headphones and a quiz booklet. This is an interactive trail seeking out clues as you go along. It’s fun and educational. The walk takes you along Southgate Street hunting heritage clues, to St. Mary de Crypt and much more. Cost is £5 per family. Great family fun for the school holidays.”
Daily Monday – Saturday 11.30 a.m. City Walk Starts from St. Michael’s Tower – The Cross – Gloucester. This is a gentle walk around Gloucester with a Gloucester Civic Trust Tour Guide. The walk lasts 1.5 hours. Cost is £3.00
