Cheltenham is an easy place for me to visit and went for a day trip to do some clothes shopping and eat out as the town is becoming very foodie-friendly.
For shopping, I browsed the high street and Cheltenham prom and had a good browse of the new John Lewis store, was what was required and brought myself new trousers and a few nice polo shirts.
I enjoyed relaxing in a few cafes including Madison’s near to the train station.
I popped into the Everyman theatre for a coffee and check out future options to see a play.
Further down the street was Cheeseworks a cheesemonger, was very interesting with a big range of cheeses to buy.
For food, I was meeting a vegetarian friend who suggested a new restaurant in the town called Woodkraft for Lunch. It was a nice venue with good service and tasty food. I opted for the full English breakfast and my friend opted for their superfood salad, we both enjoyed.
We then opted for a walk into Pitville park so I can return to catch the train along the Honeybourne Line. The park was nice and has 2 lakes and plenty to see, note to self I must visit Pitville Pump rooms on my next foray into Cheltenham.
