Local Artist Donates Piece to Community Project – Stroud District Kids’ Stuff.

Chris Beckett from Stroud has created 2 pieces of art in aid of Stroud District Kids’ Stuff. Chris says “I decided to create a community piece for this amazing project as my way of giving something back into the community I love.”

The pieces made from kiln formed glass and is designed to decorate the garden, will be sold by raffle to support Stroud District Kids Stuff. These were created by the community during the last 2 years’ Select Art Trails. 

The raffle tickets cost £5 and are available from the Kids Stuff onsite shop Monday-Friday 10-12 and at Stroud District Furniture Bank shop Monday- Friday 10-5. Both shops are based at Unit 2a Brimscombe Port, GL5 2QQ. The raffle will be drawn on 28th June.

The money raised from the raffle will go towards the community work of Stroud District Kids’ Stuff who support local families through a baby bank, pay as you feel pop up shops and by creating flexible working opportunities. Nicki Brain from Kids Stuff says “We are honoured to be chosen as the recipients of this beautiful piece and so thankful for the opportunity to raise much needed funds for our project.”

Kid’s Stuff

Kid’s Stuff have been Stroud’s Baby Bank since 2015. They are now running four projects that are changing the game for parents in our community. Providing baby basics, creating jobs, running a mum’s cooperative and building community.
