The Pelican pride themselves in being a real ale and cider pub and consistently have at least 10 of each on draught. They have frequently won the CAMRA award of pub of the year on multiple occasions.
The Pelican serves the full range of beers brewed by Wye Valley Brewery, as well as guest ales from other brewers. Ten real ales are always available on the bar, as well as at least ten proper ciders and perry. Note no draught lager is sold here!
The pub has a friendly vibe inside and has plenty of seating as well as a nice beer garden area with shaded seats.
The Pelican Inn is a public house located on St Marys Street near to Gloucester Cathedral. The pub is a stone throw away from the historic St Oswald’s Priory as well as most of the city centre. It is a good place to have a beer before or after a game at Gloucester Rugby Club.
