Mallards pike lake in the Forest of Dean is a special place to visit and enjoy the beauty. This lake is a great place for hiking, cycling or just a relaxing picnic on the banks.
As well as enjoying a walk or cycle there is also café is ideally situated near the car park and picnic area. This cafe is a great place where you can admire the surroundings over a cup of tea or coffee.
Mallards Pike Lake
The surrounding forest is great for walking and has loads of trails of differing difficulties. One of my favourites is heading to Cannop Ponds and back via a different route. You will meet other walkers and cyclists on the way as well as spotting some local wildlife especially birds of prey.
Hiking here is great in all of the seasons and looks a different place in each. The photos on this page are mainly in the winter months. In Autumn the whole local area is vibrant with autumnal colours and horse-chestnuts to collect.
Located at Mallards Pike in the Forest Of Dean is Go Ape Tree Top Adventure. They provide some great outdoor fun in the form of a treetop adventure, including climbing, zip lines through the woods. This is a great place for family or group fun and suitable for all abilities.
