Gloucestershire has a wide choice of skin clinics, holistic health centres, massage treatments and complementary therapists. Options range from advanced skin treatments and facials to massage, acupuncture and other complementary therapies.

This isn’t intended to be a complete directory, but a selection of places in Gloucester, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds and the Stroud valleys. I’ve also included a few that I’ve visited myself.

Sonia Norman Skin Clinic in Cheltenham

Sonia Norman runs a skin and advanced treatment clinic in Cheltenham, with treatments selected according to the individual rather than following a standard routine.

Treatments include Tixel skin resurfacing, microneedling, IPL, HIFU, LED light therapy and bespoke facials. Sonia also offers InterX treatments, which are slightly different from the mainly skin-focused treatments available at the clinic.

I’ve actually had an InterX treatment with Sonia Norman myself, so this is one of the clinics on the list that I’ve visited rather than simply found while researching the guide.

ProSkin Clinic in Gloucester

ProSkin Clinic & Health UK is on Great Western Road in Gloucester, opposite Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

The clinic provides a range of skin and laser treatments, including treatments for concerns such as skin tags, milia, age spots and thread veins.

Body & Face Clinic at Elkstone

Body & Face Clinic is at Elkstone Studios in the Cotswolds, between Cheltenham and Cirencester.

It offers non-surgical aesthetic and skin treatments including HIFU, CO₂ laser skin resurfacing, skin rejuvenation, microneedling, peels and facials.

Complementary Therapies, Massage & Wellness in Gloucestershire

Gloucester also has plenty of complementary therapists and massage treatments, from dedicated therapy centres to spas and small independent treatment rooms.

Holisticure in Gloucester

Holisticure is in Kingsway, Gloucester, and offers a variety of massage and complementary treatments. These include lymph drainage massage alongside other massage therapies and beauty treatments.

I’ve visited this one personally. I had a lymph drainage massage at Holisticure and really enjoyed the treatment, so it’s an easy one for me to include in this guide from personal experience.

Gloucester Robinswood Hotel By Sunday

Gloucester Robinswood Hotel By Sunday sits next to Robinswood Hill and offers spa and wellness facilities.

I’ve visited the spa myself and had a hot stone massage at Gloucester Robinswood Hotel, which I enjoyed. It’s a useful option if you’re looking for a spa treatment in Gloucester rather than visiting a standalone clinic or therapist.

The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool and fitness facilities, so it can work well if you want to combine a treatment with some time using the leisure facilities.

Nailsworth Natural Health Clinic

Nailsworth Natural Health Clinic is in the centre of Nailsworth and has been operating since 1995.

Several practitioners work from the clinic, offering complementary treatments including acupuncture, aromatherapy, homoeopathy, osteopathy, massage, shiatsu, hypnotherapy, and nutritional therapy.

Tree of Life Centre near Cheltenham

The Tree of Life Centre is in Staverton, between Gloucester and Cheltenham.

It has a number of independent practitioners offering complementary and wellbeing treatments, with therapies including acupuncture alongside a variety of other approaches.

Finding a Skin Clinic or Complementary Therapist

There is a wide variety available around Gloucestershire, so the right place depends on the type of treatment you are looking for.

For skin and aesthetic treatments, check the practitioner’s qualifications and experience as well as the equipment being used. For complementary therapies and massage, it is also worth checking the individual practitioner’s experience and any relevant professional memberships.
